Digital Transformation is About to be Democratised

Beneath all the fuss about digital transformation and disruption, a gap is widening, threatening to divide entire industries into two groups: The ones who understand the concept, and the ones who are already in the transformation process. The reason for this divide: The cost of transformation.

For a regular business the cost of integrating and migrating to a new platform, and keep it updated to put new ideas into practice far exceeds the return on investment. Most companies have no choice but to stick with their old platforms and hope that the digital world does not sail past them.

Now there is new hope. Digital transformation is about to be democratised.

Ronni K. Gothard Christiansen, CEO of international newcomer Aesir Context Marketing, explains how this democratisation is about to happen:

“What we want to do is to democratise digital transformation, so “normal” businesses are able to build more meaningful relationships with their customers. Right now, only a few of the biggest companies are able to take full advantage of digital transformation because they can afford the technology to support it.”

As a renowned digital transformation agent, he has worked with a wide range of international clients, and his vision on how to close the divide is clear.

“The goal is to provide digital tools that are cost-effective and easy to use on a day-to-day basis, both now and in the future. And to do so in a way that every company is able to grow their revenue instead of paying for expensive updates and developer-hours.”

“The only way to democratise digital transformation is to partner up with like-minded agencies and empower them to empower their own clients. That is how we grow together, and that is why we are setting out to connect with like-minded agencies.“

Ronni’s mission has never been more relevant as small to enterprise sized companies are struggling with the global pressure of their industry being disrupted overnight, leaving them out of business - if not now, then in the near future.

“Digital transformation is closely connected to the idea of disruption. As I see it, disruption is a symptom of an inability to adapt to a customer’s expectations. The only way a business is able to build long-lasting partnerships with their customers, and avoid being disrupted, is through digital transformation.”
